Sookshma Software Limited is committed to a comprehensive policy of Equal Opportunities for its staff and customers and undertakes to adhere to all relevant legislation. The organisation aims to ensure that all staff and customers are treated equally, regardless of age, disability, responsibility of dependants, marital status, race, colour, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, trade union activity, unrelated criminal convictions etc.

Mission Statement

“Sookshma Software Limited takes its responsibilities to E.O. legislation very seriously. Staff, customers and visitors are advised that any behaviour that could be seen as offensive or threatening by another, will not be tolerated. Under such circumstances you will asked to leave and SSL reserves the right to withdraw any and all services.

Equal Opportunities Implementation Strategy

In order that all staff and customers are treated with equality and fairness and that their treatment is based solely on objective criteria, the organisation will ensure that equality issues are embedded into all relevant policies and procedures. The organisation will implement its policy through a Quality Performance Group, which will monitor and evaluate the policy, produce an annual report for management and, where appropriate, present recommendations for further improvement.

SSL will conduct business with all individuals and companies in need of it’s’ products and services. Under those circumstances where SSL come to learn about poor practice or adherence to E.O. legislation, SSL will reserve the right to withdraw from a contract.

Sookshma Software Ltd will work pro-actively to implement Equal Opportunities Legislation, both in the manner it deals with its customers and the way it recruits, trains and retains it employees.

A. Sookshma Software Ltd expects their Managers to provide active and visible leadership in Equal Opportunities, and they will be trained to do so.

B. Sookshma Software Ltd requires all employees to indicate their commitment to its Equal Opportunities Policy on appointment.

C. Sookshma Software Ltd will publish and make widely known its own commitment to Equal Opportunities in a Mission Statement.

D. Customers wishing to make a complaint should address their comments to the Managing Director who will ensure a prompt and careful investigation.


Recruitment

Sookshma Software Limited aims to promote fair and open recruitment practices including the use of job centres, career offices and advertisements:-

1. Recruit a candidate solely on the basis of their ability to carry out the duties of the post successfully;

2. Provide equal access to further professional development and training appropriate to their employment and to Sookshmas’ work and activities;

3. Record and monitor Training in Equal Opportunities;

4. Offer any opportunities to progress within the Company openly and equally to all;

5. Expect all employees to:

a) Be familiar with Sookshmas’ Equal Opportunity Policy;

b) Be active and vigilant in discouraging discrimination;

c) Address equal opportunity issues constructively and in mutually supportive ways;

6. Sookshma Software Ltd will review its Equal Opportunities Policy on an annual basis.

7. Sookshma Software Ltd will monitor the implementation of its Equal Opportunities
Policy, through an agreed procedure.

Sookshma Software Limited regularly review the number of job applicants from BMEG (Black & Minority Ethnic Groups), by grade and section.

Dignity at Work

Sookshma Software Limited recognises its responsibility under E.O. legislation to provide a healthy working environment. SSL will deal with, all forms of offensive, threatening and inappropriate behaviour firmly and swiftly:

A. All staff (both accused and victim) will be informed of those individuals who they can approach for support.

B. SSL will ensure all support staff are appropriately trained.

C. If a compliant cannot be resolved amiably, the matter can be taken to the Quality Performance Steering Group (QPSG) for arbitration and resolution.

D. If the QPSG cannot resolve a situation, the Managing Director will make a final decision.
